What?

A facebook group based resource for people to connect to each other and two interests. Daily, seven days a week activity is co-created by the people that use it. Free to access.

How?

Simply join the facebook group and see the daily, seven days a week programme of activity. Contribute your own interests and ideas.

Grapevine- Teenvine Plus, ‘Coronavirus Time Capsule’

What?

A group of Coventry teenagers who met in their Teenvine Plus intensive development programme long before lockdown, is reinforcing the bonds of friendship through a range of online projects. Each young person has a learning disability, autism or both and Teenvine Plus workers Chloe, Coleman and Sarah are working with them to develop their networks, confidence and aspirations for a bright future.

How?

Activities that include recording lockdown experiences in a weekly diary format that is then shared as a ‘Coronavirus Time Capsule’, and Tuesday ‘Gamers Nights.’

They are always on the lookout for people aged 13-18 to join the fun, gain valuable experience and help bridge the gap between people with and without learning disabilities or autism. Grapevine- Building Connections

What?

Building Connections is a community-led movement against loneliness in Coventry jointly funded by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport and the National Lottery Community Fund.

How?

Envelopes of Entertainment are thoughtful packages of puzzles, jokes, quizzes and creative ideas delivered through the post, to ensure that isolated people are not forgotten. Over 120 people have received one so far but they need your help! Here’s how: tell them about anyone who could benefit from a few smiles and they will send out an envelope, or volunteer some time to join in and create your own Envelopes of Entertainment!

Care Talks – Poems in the Pandemic

What?

Poems in a Pandemic is a poetry and art competition for front line social care support staff, leaders and nurses to capture their thoughts, feelings and experiences of caring for people in a pandemic.

How?

A coalition of social care providers, supported by Care Talk, invite the whole of the social care sector to express their feelings and share their experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic by writing poetry and creating illustrations and paintings.

Mindful Marks (via Manchester Art Gallery)

What?

Mindful Marks combines mindfulness with drawing and music in order to increase mental wellbeing.

How?

This is currently being run online and viewers can participate from home.

The Buzz

What?

The Buzz is an online platform of videos with accessible activities for people to do at home, including things like cooking, dance, fitness, art and more. It is hosted and run by Community Catalysts.

How?

The videos are shared on the Small Good Stuff website, as well as a Facebook group which has over 345 members who can connect with each other.
