Two Hour Club

What would you love to do for two hours a month that would support your wellbeing? Our Two Hour Club is supporting people to do something they love alongside other people with the same interest. We are currently developing the Two Hour Club as part of community work with Ashton Circle in Ashton in Makerfield.

There are Five Ways that can improve your wellbeing. Two of these are ‘giving’ and ‘connecting’. We want to rethink volunteering as a way of investing in your own wellbeing through using two hours a month to connect and contribute.

This is the Two Hour Club – where we support people to find a great way to invest two hours that makes a positive impact on your wellbeing and in your local community. This could be sharing a hobby or expertise, or developing new skills.
We can help you find the best role for you, to use your two hours.

  • Joan loves to chat and hosts a table in a local café once a month to enjoy coffee, cake and conversation with people who might otherwise be on their own.
  • Fred loves to bake and enjoys sharing his recipes with others on a Facebook Group.
  • Jackie loves nature and photography and is sharing her interests and skills with others on a monthly walk around the local area.
  • Aki spends his two hours a month through his workplace, sharing his computer skills with a local community group.
  • Anna uses her two hours with Nebila, and they exchange house plants with neighbours on a local street
